Valentines Day Cake
Heart shaped Valentines Day Cake will be the perfect surprise for your other half! Unbelievably moist, rich, and flavorful with delicious Violife frosting!

For the cake:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 3/4 cups vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups boiling water
For the frosting:
- 4 packs Violife Just Like Cream Cheese Block
- 10 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 vanilla pod
- Zest of 1 Lemon
You will need:
- Heart shaped sprinkles
- 1 round baking tin
- 1 square baking tin
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Line the two baking tins with baking paper and grease with butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, sugars, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, oil, eggs and vanilla extract and mix into flour mixture until fully incorporated. Mix in the boiling water.
- Divide the batter among the prepared tins and bake for 30-40 minutes until a cake pick comes out clean.
- To make the frosting, whisk all the ingredients together in a bowl.
- Place the square cake on large board like a diamond. Cut the round cake in half. Use some frosting to stick the round halves to the 2 sides of square to make a heart shape.
- Frost the surface of the heart generously. Sprinkle with heart shaped sprinkles and serve!
