  • 1 pack store-bought vegan pizza dough
FOR THE SAUCE :
  • 13.5 fl oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp organic granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
FOR THE PIZZA :
  • 1 pack Violife Just Like Mozzarella shreds
  • 1 pack Violife Just Like Cheddar shreds
  • 2 tbsp olive oil divided
  • 2 tbsp cornmeal divided
  • 1/2 cup sliced fresh basil leaves
  1. Start by making your tomato sauce. Add the onion to a saucepan and sauté until soft. Then add the garlic and sauté until it turns golden. Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, and tomato paste. Slowly bring to a simmer and then add sugar, salt, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 356°F.
  3. Use a rolling pin to make a pizza shape with your pizza dough. Top with the sauce and then sprinkle Violife Just Like Mozzarella shreds and Violife Just Like Cheddar shreds. Place on a lined baking tray and bake the pizza until the crust is golden on the edges, around 15-20 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve.
