- 1 Violife Just Like cheddar shreds
- 4 tbsps. Violife Plant butter
- 1 lb pasta of choice
- 4 tbsps. plain flour
- 1 large head of broccoli, in florets
- 2 cups unsweetened plant-based milk
- ½ cup vegetable stock
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- To make the sauce melt the butter in a pan over low heat. Add the flour and whisk until clumpy.
- Slowly add the milk and stock and whisk until it forms a white sauce. Add grated cheese, mustard, onion, garlic, spices and salt and pepper.
- Stir and cook on low heat until everything is melted.
- Boil the pasta according to package directions. Add the broccoli to the boil for the last 2 minutes.
- Drain both the pasta and the broccoli and add them to the sauce with a cup of pasta water.
- Serve the pasta warm and garnish with extra chili flakes if you wish.
