  • 1 Violife Just Like cheddar shreds
  • 4 tbsps. Violife Plant butter
  • 1 lb pasta of choice
  • 4 tbsps. plain flour
  • 1 large head of broccoli, in florets
  • 2 cups unsweetened plant-based milk
  • ½ cup vegetable stock
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  1. To make the sauce melt the butter in a pan over low heat. Add the flour and whisk until clumpy.
  2. Slowly add the milk and stock and whisk until it forms a white sauce. Add grated cheese, mustard, onion, garlic, spices and salt and pepper.
  3. Stir and cook on low heat until everything is melted.
  4. Boil the pasta according to package directions. Add the broccoli to the boil for the last 2 minutes.
  5. Drain both the pasta and the broccoli and add them to the sauce with a cup of pasta water.
  6. Serve the pasta warm and garnish with extra chili flakes if you wish.
